We have had some questions concerning the greens on our golf course in the past few weeks. Some of the greens and approaches have a yellow cast or have turned yellow. In our research of the problem it turns out that during the winter months and early spring the areas in question were over seeded with annual rye grass. They make the greens look great during the cooler months but can’t stand the heat. As a result we are working at converting the greens over to a suitable variety of grass to have a year around appeal.
